Pilates

With an emphasis on breath, core conditioning, and body awareness, Pilates is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen your muscles while improving your balance and dynamic stabilization, it has been proved that due to the lower impact on your joints decreasing the risk of injury on them. Performed on a mat or specialized equipment, Pilates is a fitness regime for a lifetime and a perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, sport, or rehabilitation.

Meet your instructor

Luisa F. Nunez is a certified Stott Pilates Instructor since 2013 with a special focus on Mat and Reformer (Essential and Intermediate Level) but trained as well on Stability Chair, and SpringBoard. She fell in love with Pilates while still working as a Chemical Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry in Colombia, in 2009. She has always been a very active fitness enthusiast and decided to try Pilates in search of techniques with lower impact on the knees. She was surprised by the increased muscle tone, core strengthening, as well as improved posture, balance, and flexibility.

After being transferred with her husband and family to Brunei in South East Asia, She decided to take the initiative to get the required equipment and began training at home and become certified. What began as a passion ended up being a career with the important benefit of a flexible job schedule for an expat mom. Currently, She lives in Katy, TX with her family.

She believes that continuing education is an essential component of becoming a better fitness instructor and She is always willing to learn from different fitness areas, that’s why she is Fluid Strength and TRX certified, NASM CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), and Trained in Barre. Right now she is pursuing to become a Specialist in Corrective Exercise in order to help her clients to improve mobility and correct any imbalances in their HMS (Human Movement System); she is getting as well her Full Comprehensive Stott Pilates Certification, one of the most internationally recognized Pilates Companies. She speaks English and Spanish.
